Site Bdii for the CTB INFN-SA3

• Re-installed the machine with an site-BDII using the new yaim 4 for SLC4. The following steps were performed:
  • Set up various yum repositories following instructions at https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/GenericInstallGuide310, in particular used the following repository for the PPS-lcg-CE:
    • http://grid-deployment.web.cern.ch/grid-deployment/glite/pps/3.1/glite-BDII/sl4/i386/
  • downloaded and installed java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.12-1jpp.i586.rpm java-1.5.0-sun-devel-1.5.0.12-1jpp.i586.rpm from repo at cnaf http://grid-it.cnaf.infn.it/mrepo/cert_slc4-i386/RPMS.cream-glite-noetics/
  • run 'yum install PPS-glite-BDII'
  • run 'yum install lcg-CA'
  • Set the right variables in the site-info.def under '/root/BDII_install/'
  • run '/opt/glite/yaim/bin/yaim -c -s site-info.def -n BDII_site'
• An ldapsearch query on the machine showed that the site_BDII was not publishing anything
• Fixed the problem by:
  • Adding by hand the paths to the services to be published by the site_BDII in the '/opt/bdii/etc/bdii-update.conf'
  • Restarting the BDII
