*Release date: 11.01.2008* 

*Comment [12.01.2008]* Tarballs have been added.

*Comment [17.01.2008]* The patch #1595 (R3.1/SLC4/i386: 2GB file fix for DPM gridftp) has been added to the release. This has resulted into new metapackages for glite-SE_dpm_disk and _mysql. In addition, 64 bit repositories for dcache have been added to the release. The 64 bit versions of dcache can be installed using the *yum groupinstall* method.

---++++ Preface
The main issues of this update are the following:
   * new metapackages for dCache
   * globus update, which results most of the metapackages to be upgraded
   * GFAL/lcg_util update

In addition, there is an update of the bdii configuration as well as new voms-admin-client tools, which have been added into the glite-UI and glite-VOBOX metapackages.

For mirroring it should be taken into consideration that the dCache packages are located in a separate generic-dcache repository and symbolic links have been created to point to this central location.
