RESPECT
The RESPECT program identifies
software packages
that integrate with the core gLite software and provide functionality of interest to the EGEE user community. In the past, the program identified only grid-related, user-level APIs and tools. In EGEE-III, this will be expanded to include grid services and application-related, user-level APIs and tools.
The NA4 Steering Committee will approve additions to the RESPECT program and ensure that information in existing entries are current.
Adding a Package to RESPECT
- Email the NA4 Steering Committee (project-eu-egee-na4-sc-contact {at} cern.ch) the following information:
- Name of the package to add.
- Link to webpage.
- Link to documentation.
- Link to download instructions.
- Contact for package support.
- Reasons why package should be added.
- Summary of use on the EGEE production infrastructure.
- The NA4 Steering Committee will discuss the request and decide if the package should be included in the RESPECT program.
- If approved, the NA4 Steering Committee will add the package to the RESPECT list
on the EGEE website.
Package Support
- Contact the identified support contact for the package.
- If the contact is unresponsive, open a ticket in the Global Grid User Support (GGUS)
system, clearly stating which package and the problem.
- The Direct User Support team will try to understand the reason for the problem.
- For repeated support problems, the NA4 Steering Committee will decide whether to remove the package from RESPECT.
