The CERN network outage on the 19th resulted in some SAM alarms due to dependencies on the central LFC and the top-level BDII. The operators cancelled the alarms without creating trouble tickets.
PPS Reports and Issues
The glexec/SCAS pilot continues. A patch to fix NFS issues at NIKHEF has been certified and is being rolled-out to the pilot sites. ATLAS integration tests of PanDA successfully concluded at FZK. LHCb successfully tested submission via DIRAC at NIKHEF. Next step is installation at IN2P3 this week. Behaviour of SCAS in load-balancing will be checked, and ATLAS & LHCb will both continue to test glexec. The end date of the pilot is now pushed out to 30th April (at which point S/W should be in production).
gLite Release News
gLite 3.2 Update 01 released (WN and Torque clients on SL5).
First gLite release to have officially signed RPMs.
This version is only supported on 64-bit (no plans for 32bit as far as Antonio is aware).
Angela: When will we have FTS 6 with credentials? Antonio: not in the plans.
Angela: VOs would like it. Antonio: I will check with the EMT.
EGEE Items From ROC Reports
None.
Concerning the 19th March CERN outage, Maite asked whether any problems had been seen (other than those mentioned in the COD report). No feedback was forthcoming, and the silent phone was taken to mean that there had been no significant problems.
WLCG Items
With most of the WLCG people attending CHEP in Prague this week, none of them were at the meeting.
No reports were filed prior to the meeting.
WLCG issues coming from ROC reports
None, and none were raised during the meeting. Angela did, however, question the validity of the CERN and FNAL FTM end-points advertised on the Wiki. Diana will check.
With Rob unable to make a vocal contribution (even though he appeared in the web-based list of attendees), it was suggested that he and Maria (who was also not present) should have the discussion about GGUS:46647 between themselves.
Check validity of CERN & FNAL FTM points advertised in Wiki. UPDATE 25/3/2009 Two GGUS tickets have been open for CERN 47367 for FNAL 47368 Update 20/4/09: This should have been closed last week; issue being tracked in GGUS.
