Because of the imminent upgrade to SL4 of one fo the services (DPM) used to submit SAM tests
sites still running on SL3 (no longer supported) would start failing the tests. This effect can already
be seen from the SAM validation instance.
All sites filing the tests in the validation instance should upgrade their WNs to the last version ASAP
and ROCs are invited to monitor this process.
The switch of the SAM DPM production is scheduled for the 10th of August (less than 2 weeks from now)
The case of IN-DAE-VECC-EUINDIAGRID as in GGUS:49754 has to be discussed today at the weekly meeting.

gLite 3.1 Update 52 introduced among others the new host certificates for the server voms.cern.ch
Steve: in reply to a point raised from the French ROC: The distribution of certificates for the voms server will be phased out with gLite 3.1 . gLite 3.2 uses a different method (.dsc file)

FZK Downtime: On Tuesday 11/08/2009, Oracle patches will be applied to the FTS and LFC database back-end as well as to the LHCb 3D/LFC and ATLAS 3D databases. The FTS and LFC service will be "down" from 12:00 UTC to 16:00 UTC. The LHCb and ATLAS databases will be "at risk" from 7:00 UTC to 11:00 UTC
Last week SouthEast asked about GGUS:50466 concerning the proxy-renew-daemon. This was raised at the EMT, the developer in question will be prompted but the item is now present on the EMTs list of tracked issues. Please prompt again if no update appears in two weeks.
