EGEE Items

Grid Operator Hand Over on Duty

  c-COD Team
From ROC CE
To ROC NE

  • Report from cCOD:
From last week left only issues concerning APEL test (sites are working on the problem) and some alarms not handled by AP ROD (ROD asked for action and explanation). I would like to remind that C-COD started not only ask RODs for action but also for explanation why issues were not handled according to procedure. We need that to know how to read metrics.

Sites Considered For Suspension

Pilot Services Report & Issues

  • There are no currently active pilots

gLite Release News

  • Release of gLite 3.1 Update 60 to production in preparation: Torque and Maui Patches introducing several bug fix plus fix for a vulnerability
  • staged roll-out of gLite security Update (Bundle 02): Due to the issues found affecting the release for the UI and LB node types this update has been rejected and the early adopter sites rolled back. The fix will be proposed again in a later update
  • SL5 Torque and CREAM released to early adopters (staged rollout)

EGEE Items From ROC Reports

  • General: some ROC entries had dissapeared from the CIC portal this week, so they were not able to fill the ROC weekly reports.
  • AP ROC: Very complete report on progress with CREAM CE and APEL etc., but no issues to raise at this meeting
  • DECH ROC: FZK-LCG2 [Announcement]: Planned WN update on the fly next week: new glite packages, gLExec will be supported. Intervention: ce-1-fzk will be taken offline

Grid Service Interventions

  • Consult links on the agenda page.

Miscellaneous

  • Fusion VO sites test failures: mail from teh fusion community: "In our collaboration (EGEE fusion VO - EUFORIA) , some tests have been done in order to check the availability of fusion resources ( CEs and SEs). Some problems have been found in several sites registering and copying (lcg-cr and lcg-cp) files in SEs , sometimes because of SE missconfigurations and other ones because of WNs failures (possible LFC_HOST missconf). I would like to ask you to check your resources supporting fusion VO and fix ASAP the problems you may find. It is very important because next week there will be online demos using these resources during Supercomputing 09 (part of EGEE-DEISA-EUFORIA project demonstration) and all sites should be properly working." They were suggested to open tickets to sites and ROCs, and to attend this meeting. Nobody from Fusion attended.

  • Various tidbits gleaned from the CIC portal:
    • New version of Operations Dashboard available tomorrow
    • CREAM CE in SAMAP available since Thursday
    • New EGEE SA1 NAGIOS Update - Addition of MYEGEE portal.

  • MyEGEE portal: at the moment one can see a superset of the resources of each ROC. This is a known issue and it is being fixed.
  • LHC: first collissions maybe expected by the end of this week
