What's new:
- Release notes for dpm-yaim 4.2.17
- dpm-yaim has been upgraded from 4.2.16 to 4.2.17.
- dpm-yaim 4.2.17 is a maintenance release to address some specific problems. If your DPM is running there is no need to rerun yaim with this new version of the dpm yaim scripts.
- dpm-yaim 4.2.17 changes:
- To avoid various problems with dav and dpm-xrootd when using DPM filesystems starting with /dpm
- dmlite configuration: configure plugin_fs_io rather than plugin_fs_rfio as a workaround to avoid a problem when a file path starts with /dpm/.
- dav configuration: a change was made in how the lcgdm dav namespace or disk httpd module is selected.
- Now uses the path prefix /dpm// rather than only /dpm.
- Change to avoid issue in the handling of NULL values for user or group "banned" setting, which ntermittently impacted DAV and dpm-xrootd. dpm-yaim will reset NULL values of these columns in the database to 0.
- Check that DMLITE configuration is enabled if either DPM_DAV or dpm-xrootd is to be configured.
- dpm-xrootd configuration: Added "dpm.mmreqhost localhost" to /etc/xrootd/xrootd-dpmredir.cfg. This will be needed when using the ATLAS Rucio N2N plugin. Added to the default setup to eventually simplify the N2N specific setup instructions.
Installation & Configuration:
- Just update packages, If your DPM is running there is no need to rerun yaim with this new version of the dpm yaim scripts.
Artifacts
VOMS clients v. 3.0.4 & VOMS Java APIs, v. 3.0.2
Affected services
- affected services: CREAM, UI, WN, STORM, VOMS
What's new:
- The new packages provide fixes for the problems described in GGUS #97555
. The issue was that private keys embedded in VOMS proxies created by the new VOMS clients were encoded following the PKCS#8 standard instead of the PKCS#1 formerly used by VOMS clients version 2.x. While the PKCS#8 standard is correctly handled by most middleware components, the old jglobus library used by dCache SRM clients does not understand it so the parsing of VOMS proxies resulted in a failure.
- You can find more information regarding other bug fixes in this release at the following url:
