Status at the start of the EMI project
ARC CE
The ARC-CE can be configured to send usage records to SGAS. Then someone with a funny script extracts them from SGAS, converts
them to APEL records and insert them by hand, or in some semi-automatic manner.
CREAM CE
The CREAM CE is able to send usage records to both DGAS and APEL, for the following batch systems:
- Condor
- LSF
- SGE
- Torque/PBS
Besides installing the proper DGAS or APEL sensors, what was required (for both APEL and DGAS) was to create a special file with an entry such as this one:
"timestamp=2010-08-10 07:39:50" "userDN=/C=IT/O=INFN/OU=Personal Certificate/L=Padova/CN=Alvise Dorigo"
"userFQAN=/dteam/Role=NULL/Capability=NULL" "ceID=cream-38.pd.infn.it:8443/cream-pbs-creamtest1"
"jobID=CREAM885035813" "lrmsID=34.cream-38.pd.infn.it" "localUser=18120"
"timestamp=2010-08-10 07:40:00" "userDN=/C=IT/O=INFN/OU=Personal Certificate/L=Padova/CN=Alvise Dorigo"
"userFQAN=/dteam/Role=NULL/Capability=NULL" "ceID=cream-38.pd.infn.it:8443/cream-pbs-creamtest1"
"jobID=CREAM498404624" "lrmsID=35.cream-38.pd.infn.it" "localUser=18120"
for each job.
The it is up to DGAS/APEL to do the work.
UNICORE
There is no accounting system in UNICORE.
Goals
TBD
Is the goal to be able to send usage records to both DGAS and APEL ?
For which batch systems ?
Roadmap
TBD
Can we see a short term solution (e.g. something like what is currently used in the CREAM CE) and a longer term solution ?
