Marco would like the following question to be answered:

• does the libarcmessage support globus proxies?
  • need to rephrase to "do the plugins support proxies"?
  • Yes, through GSI plugin
  • There's also a credentials library supporting both legacy and current Globus proxies
  • no dependency on Globus for proxies though (good)
  • communication through gsiftp does depend on globus
• Is IPv6 compliant?
  • Should be supported in message and tcp plugins
  • Same holds for UNICORE
