Certification Authorities (CAs)

Module name: org.etics.utilities.certificates

Here are the instructions for installing and configuring the CAs.

The CAs themselves are distributed on a regular basis by the EUGridPMA. Here's what to do to get them:

  • The APT access string for the EUGridPMA? is: rpm http://glitesoft.cern.ch/ LCG-CAs/current production. Example of the installation command: apt-get install ca_policy_igtf-classic.
  • All CAs must by default be installed under /etc/grid-security/certificates
  • Note: for etics-test.cern.ca, a testing certificate also has to be installed (this CA is available in the etics-certificates package, see below for details)

The CAs are used by Tomcat to authenticate users, via a keystore. The keystore used by default is keytool. Here are the instructions to install the CAs in keytool:

  • The package used is located under:
  • cp insertCAs.py /etc/grid-security
  • cd /etc/grid-security
  • python insertCAs.py

  • N/A
