Instructions for FSM operations in Building 161

Connect to the FSM

At the present moment, there is a physical pc (pcfaserdcsdev) taking care of the control, monitoring for the FASER Tracker. Please, follow below instructions to connect to it:

1. Log into

ssh -YC CERNLOGIN@pcfaserdcsdev.cern.ch
2. Run the FSM launcher strip, using the following command
source /localdisk/runFSM.sh

Operating Voltages

  • Control at the Top-level (layer), it is expected to propagate commands massively down all voltage channels ( HV, VCC and VDD) :
    • State and Status are reflected in the rectangles (modules)
    • Short cuts to the concerned module

  • Control/monitoring at the module level, group or individual switch off/on of all the voltages in a single module. Settings are able to be modified:

  • Control/monitoring per individual channels (settings, trending plots, error bits, etc):
