Contract Scope:

Quantum is a Joint Venture between Egis Structures et Environnement SAS (FR) and BG Consulting Engineers Ltd (CHT). They will provide technical support during the market survey and tendering processes for the HRA (areas of geological uncertainty) site investigation works Contractor. During this stage they will produce all of the technical documentation required to competitively tender the contract and assist CERN in their selection of the Contractor. From 2024 until 2025 they will act as CERN’s appointed engineer on site and will supervise the works, as well as being responsible for logging all cores extracted during site investigation works. After the works have concluded they will produce an updated interpretation of the geology of the area taking into consideration results from the investigation campaign and use this information to update the civil engineering design and cost and schedule estimations in time for the ESPPU in 2025.
