Hadron Collider (FCC-hh) Baseline Parameters (latest data set)

This page contains the FCC-hh parameters for different layout and placement scenarios.

VARIANT VERSION STATUS DATE
CDR Baseline 1.0 Obsolete 30 June 2020
PB17 0.8 In work 12 January 2021
PB19 0.3 To be done 12 January 2021

The FCC-hh hadron collider will be design to provide proton-proton collisions with centre-of-mass energies up to the 100 TeV range and ion-ion collisions. The machine should accomodate at least two main experiments at points PA and PG and two additional experiments at PL and PB, operated simultaneously and deliver peak luminosities from initially 5 to ultimately 30 $ 1 \times 10^{34} cm^{-2}s^{-1}$ per experiment. The combined data sets will thus significantly exceed the total of 30 ab over an operation period of about 25 years.

The layout of the FCC-hh collider will be compatible with a luminosity frontier electron-positron collider (FCC-ee) that should be installed and operated first.
