  • 9.2 : Bremsstrahlung has been upgraded: density suppression improved according to the theory, a new relativistic model with LPM effect for e+, e- is applied above 1 GeV. Bremsstrahlung and e+e- pair production for pions and protons included in Physics List. The spline interpolation of physics tables is used by default. Updated version of multiple scattering model for e+,e- provides better backscattering and electron energy deposition profiles. Regarding low-energy processes, Doppler broadening has been added to Compton and polarized Compton. New ionisation cross sections are available for PIXE with protons and alphas. A new stopping power model is available for ions, using ICRU 73 data tables. An alternative model for electron elastic scattering is available in the Geant4-DNA processes.

  • 9.1 : The performance of the particle transport using sub-cutoff option become competitive with the performance of the standard simulation. The single scattering model was developed which provides better results than multiple scattering but for much required much more CPU. This model should be used in for simulation of particle transport in low density media. The model of energy loss fluctuations of ions have been improved.

  • 9.0 : Basic interfaces and options have been revised in order to improve CPU performance of the package and to have more clear methods to set options and parameters. The functionality of UI-commands and G4EmProcessOptions class become practically equivalent.
  • 8.3 : The model of the fluctuations of energy loss was revised in order to provide stable results done to step size 1 um. To estimate the distance to geometry boundary the interfaces of the new class G4SafetyHelper are used instead of calls to G4Navigator.

  • 8.2 : Some improvements are provided for multiple scattering model. The new process G4hMultipleScattering was introduced for heavy particles. The new polarisation library for simulation of circular polarized beam are delivered.

  • 8.1 : Provided the same interfaces to cross sections for models and processes and access to cross sections by G4EmCalculator. Significantly upgraded G4UrbanMscModel. Final migration to model approach for multiple scattering. Improved CPU performance for sampling calorimeters. Added NIST stopping powers for protons and alpha particles. The process G4SynkrotronRadiation was updated providing correct spectrum for any gamma energy. For the G4TransitionRadiation process the new model for regular radiators are introduced.

  • 8.0 : A new class G4UrbanMscModel class are introduced, which is needed in order to provide correct results for sampling calorimeters with high cuts (about 1 mm). The simulation become slower because of extra step limitation for low-energy electrons. The backward compatible version of multiple scattering is available. The new class G4hhIonisation is added for simulation of ionisation of very heavy exotic particles.

  • 7.1 : Photon processes migrated to model interface. The class G4Emcalculator provides access to basic quantities for EM physics. A new class G4EnergyLossForExtrapolator was introduced to be used for error propagation.
