How to add a file to your TWiki FAQ

TWiki pages have the ability to add files to them. This could be any file you want. Eg. .doc, .pdf or .ppt. You can also attach pictures which will display within your TWiki page. (Works with GIF, PNG and JPG, all others picture types will produce a link to download instead).

You will notice at the top right of any of the TWiki pages there is an attach button:

attach.jpg

By clicking this button you will get taken to an Attach File to ... page. Select the file you wish to attach and then check this box:

attach1.jpg

By then clicking Upload File you will then return to the TWiki page your attaching the file to in view mode. You will notice at the bottom of the page there is a link (only if its a file, if its a picture you will see the picture) to your file. You can then click the edit button and move the newly inserted line of code at the bottom to anywhere within the TWiki page you want.

NB: In the case of a picture, you can alter the dimensions of the picture by changing the values in the "width" and "height" fields within the new piece of code.
