This is roughly how our current workflow could look in the Inspire environment.

Comments

automatic selection

• list of journals, like JHEP
• list of conferences, like jacow
• list of affiliations? inspire coll?
• words in title or abstract? e.g. accelerator and detector names
• list of collaborations?
• quota of references found in hep?
• info from publisher

human selection

• choice from list of records in holding pen (70 NIMA586.2 (2008/01/12), 12 PLA372.8 (2008/02/01 ...)
• option of quick selection from toc (concise list of remaining records of an issue after automatic preselection)
• check boxes with 3 options: core, non-core, remove
• option to open abstract if in doubt
• option to add field and topic code
• option to pass on to other physicist
• option to set keyword tag (automatically set if core and no talk)

keywords

• automatic keywords displayed only after human check (for the time being)
• full akw's (from fulltext) should not automatically overwrite quick akw's (from title/abstract/author kw's), should be stored separately, can be used for pasting into quick akw's after human check
