Small stuff in DESY workflow

Not sure how/when these tasks will be done with the new HP.

Changing CORE tags, assigning TC, FC

Currently:

search for all papers not coming from arxiv or DESY workflow
display in brief format + current information color-coded
example: http://www-library.desy.de/lists/misc/slp-current.html
info to be changed in ascii file, example:

  2  recid=1235066

generate append.xml, correct.xml, upload

arXiv papers

Goal: get rid of SPIRES until end of August latest.
turn off synchronization SLAC-DESY.

DESY tasks:

a) selection of articles
b) setting CORE flags

for CORE papers and papers DESY has harvested:
c) check for doublets from info in arXiv-comment and merge
d) adding cnum from info in arXiv-comment
e) adding PACS, author keywords, with extraction from ps

currently this needs SPIRES

Idea for new workflow:

a) selection of articles unchanged
b) setting CORE flags: write info in ascii file, generate append.xml

for CORE papers:
c) check for doublets unchanged
d) adding cnum for CORE papers either via append-xml of web-form
e) adding PACS, KW would be difficult - discontinue at DESY.
Is the only step that needs the fulltext.
Can SLAC do this when extraction from pdf works?

Options for cnum:

- write info in ascii file and generate append.xml
- create a web-form with a text-field and write directly to INSPIRE

For both a short format that shows the arXiv comment would be good:
search for all core papers added yesterday from arXiv, and use info in Note.

For web-form input fields to change cnum and type-code.

Proposal for web-form:

This is just an idea - to be discussed.

This in independent of holding-pen, would need redesign with flask

After doing a mock-up I think 2 seperate forms, formats, whatever you call it would be better.
One would be used by physicists, one by catalogers.

Display in very brief format with arXiv comment and link to BibEdit.

Actions:

Fields are pre-filled with info from INSPIRE.
If catalgoger changes values the info in INSPIRE will be overwritten.
E.g.: delete or add 980:CORE
update type-codes 65017$a with $2:INSPIRE
update field-codes (some values of 980), i.e. not HEP, CORE
check that single character codes are valid
