Source of Conference information

Conferences information comes in the following ways:
  • new papers. Inputter will see conference note in the paper, the PPF.IN spires proto then creates an email to RT Conferences with the needed Conference information - the RT ticket is titled NEWCONF. A number of tickets are created, one for each paper, so the ticket has the affected paper.
  • user input. Email to RT from the Conferences page RT ticket titled "New Conference"
  • Recurring conferences

Procedure

  1. Go to CONF queue in RT. open ticket
  2. search conference date in Conference file to figure out next CNUM C-YY-MM-DD.X where x is incremental integer for conferences on that start date
  3. RT may have a URL, click on URL and pull necessary information for the conference record.
  4. enter record in conferences
  5. add cnum and meeting-note to HEP record.
  6. close RT ticket. later tickets could well be more papers from this same conference. In this case, just add the CNUM and MN into these HEP records.
