Updates
AFS UI managers are trying to keep the UI up-to-date. The UI should be updated soon after a new vesion of the UI middleware is available.

AFS UI users & usage
The most important use cases for the AFS UI are as below:
- Alice
- gateway to some services running on the Alice VOBOXes.
- Atlas
- used on VOBOXes for instance to get the correct version of the lcg-utils/gfal packages. AFSUI is also used to run Athena (reconstruction/analysis framework).
- CMS
- running user jobs
- LHCb
- Both DIRAC production and analysis system (used by LHCb to access the Grid) do rely on scripts that ultimately source the latest AFS UI. The same is true for GANGA users (ATLAS/LHCB interface for user analysis system)
