FTS version 1.5 information

This page collects all the necessary information and advice on how to install, configure and operate release 1.5 of FTS.

Release 1.5 of FTS is packaged with gLite release 3.0.

Server upgrade from 1.4

The upgrade procedure from 1.4 is described in FtsServerUpgrade14to15.

New installation

• The fresh 1.5 server install is described in FtsServerInstall15.
• The YAIM configuration for version 1.5. FtsYaimValues15.
• The client install and test is described in FtsClientInstall15.

Administration

Server administration (starting, stopping, logfiles, etc) is described in FtsServerAdmin15.

Channel administration is described in FtsChannelAdmin15.

Client compatibility

The supported compatibility between different versions of FTS client and server software is described in FtsServerUpgrade14to15.

Validation

Oracle validation

The 1.5 FTS has been validated against:

• using 10gR2 Oracle InstantClient (10.2.0.1) against Oracle 10gR1 RAC database.
• using 10gR2 Oracle InstantClient (10.2.0.1) against Oracle 10gR2 RAC database.
