Storage Requirements for CCRC08 for CMS.

Further details can be found here. In order for CMS to perform tests during the CCRC08 exercise in February 2008 the following requirements should be satisfied by Tier-1s:

  1. Provide the following storage classes:
    • REPLICA-ONLINE (Tape0Disk1)
    • CUSTODIAL-NEARLINE (Tape1Disk0)
  2. Define the following space token descriptions:
    • CMS_DEFAULT for the CUSTODIAL-NEARLINE storage class to be used for Raw and recompacted data

In order for CMS to perform tests during the CCRC08 exercise in February 2008 the following requirements should be satisfied by the Tier-0:

  1. Provide the following storage classes:
    • REPLICA-ONLINE (Tape0Disk1)
    • CUSTODIAL-NEARLINE (Tape1Disk0)
  2. Define the following space token descriptions:
    • CMS_DEFAULT for the CUSTODIAL-NEARLINE storage class to be used for raw and recompated data

Furthermore, the following requirements must be satisfied:

  1. Make available a CMS specific path for tape (ex. /cms) and disk (ex. /cms/disk). CMS will then create further paths specifying the desired space token, provided that tokens will be decided somewhere in some top levels and will not change for data stored in the leaves of that top directory.
  2. Enable the following group/roles to write into the spaces above:
    • ??
  3. Publish in the GLUE schema the CMS tokens and path in the GlueVOInfo objects
  4. Publish the size of the Storage Area correspondent to a specific Storage Class both total and available.

For publishing information in the GLUE schema, you can find an example here.
