Currently proposed GSSD Sub-Groups
Glue Schema 2.0 for Storage Services
The goal of this sub-group is to come up with a data model for Storage Service for the Glue Schema 2.0. A mailing list has been setup:
glue20-se@cernNOSPAMPLEASE.ch. The web archive can be found here:
https://mmm.cern.ch/public/newsimba2lists/glue20-se
The list is moderated by Laurence Field (CERN).
SRM v1-v2
The goal of this sub-group is to find a solution for the coexistence of SRM v1 and v2 endpoints for a given implementation. CASTOR and DPM are the first target implementations. The test UI setup at CERN can be used for this purpose.

Catalogues
The goal of this sub-group is to find a solution to the following issues:
- It could be necessary to be able to peform massive rename operations on file catalogues. This is normally a costly and time consuming operation that can make the entire Grid unavailable for long time.
- During the testing phase, how should new data be registered in the catalogue ? What happens in case a roll back to SRM v1 is needed ?

Experiment Requirements
The goal of this sub-group is to provide
GSSD with precise experiment requirements for implementing Storage Classes, Space Token Descriptions I/O buffers at sites.

Monitoring
The goal of this sub-group is to come up with a first list of information that can be extracted from currently available MSS management tools and to come up with a first prototype of indipendent interface that can be used to create "sensors" that could store the relative info to be displayed initially with SAM or
GridView.
