      • CMS: CRAB, CMSSW local installation
      • ATLAS: PANDA from cvmfs
  • nfs mounted on the submission hosts
  • Most of the machines on openstack (exception: couple of submission hosts for CMS and ATLAS, deployed using quattor, which should be decomissioned)
    • 1 core machine
    • 1 services
    • 5 submit nodes for atlas (3 1-core, 2 4-core) , 4 submit nodes cms (2 1-core, 2 4-core)
  • Access from users/developers to core machines (and manual modifications)
  • Development machine for the web interface
    • No development databases

Some more requirements

  • It has to be easy/fast to deploy new changes
  • Possibility to copy back files from submission node to web frontend
  • Need to have proxy certificates on the submission nodes

Suggested actions

  • Split HC git into at least three components: core 6.5 M, ATLAS (apps & inputfile templates) , CMS (LHCb might be added later on) Green led
    • Still to discuss if apps and inputtfiles should be together (inputfiles is the biggest package)
  • Build RPMs with Koji for each of the components Green led
  • Incorporate Foreman/puppet into openstack machines, creating hostgroups Green led
  • Local installation on the nodes (avoid nfs for sharing software!) Green led
  • 2 parallel infrastructures: production and development Green led
    • Access to development open to users/developers Green led
    • Restricted access to production. No manual changes.
