Pilot Follow-up Meeting Minutes 30 March 2010

  • Date: Tue 30 Mar 2010
  • Description: Pilot of glexec/Argus : Check-point
  • Chair: Mario David

Attendance

  • Operations/SA1: Mario David
  • Switch: Alessandro Usai
  • INFN-CNAF: Giuseppe Misurelli

Status and results of the pilot service (by VOs and sites)

There were no reports from the VO's or sites

General remarks

The attendance was low, partly due to the fact that no reminder was sent by Mario. Mario had sent a mail to the pilot-argus mailing list asking if there was anything to report both from the sites and from the VO's. No feedback was received.

Recommendations for release and deployment

Mario reported that the following patches #3536 SL5/x86_64 glite-ARGUS release 1.1 and #3434: GLEXEC_wn SL5/x86_64 with gLExec 0.7.0 are now in "Ready for Roll-out" status and the staged rollout process is planed to be triggered on Monday 5 April 2010.

Patch #3536 had been put on hold (see previous meeting minutes) waiting for the gLExec patch #3434.

Presently there are no sites enrolled for the stage rollout of Argus 1.1 service, so a request was sent to the pilot-argus list asking for volunteers to enroll in the stage rollout, taking into account their experience in the pilot service.

Thus, it is expected that the planed date of release to production (April 12) agreed in the last meeting will be accomplished.
