We start this activity as a summer student project. The goal is
  • to prototype the simplified version of Nagios box with necessary configuration capable of submitting experiment-specific tests
  • based on it prototype Nagios configuration generator (in Python)

In order to do it, student needs to specify

  • input required from ATP
  • input required from Poem
  • information which is currently in the local configuration file hosted by Nagios box.

It is desirable to merge info in the local Nagios configuration file with Poem input.

All required input information has to be simulated.

Alessandro will take care about info which in future will be provided by ATP (services to be tested)

Marian will take care about info which has to be provided by Poem (which tests has to be run against which services) and info contained in the local Nagios configuration (where test executables reside on the Nagios box and what are the input parameters for tests) Marian will investigate what it would take and whether it is reasonable to include info which is currently contained in the local Nagios configuration file to Poem.

Eddie will follow Adomas' technical work.
