GGUS Type of Problem field

GGUS TEAM and ALARM ticket submit forms as of the 2011/09/28 GGUS Release contain the field 'Type of Problem' (ToP) with possible values:

  • Other
  • Databases
  • File Access
  • File Transfer
  • Local Batch System
  • Middleware
  • Monitoring
  • Network problem
  • Storage Systems

This is a subset of ToP values that USER tickets offer. The same exact strings were kept for these values in order to ensure continuity of the searches.

The ToP field values for USER tickets are listed in .

History: GGUS TEAM and ALARM ticket submit forms up to the 2011/09/28 GGUS Release contained the MoU values' drop-down list, which is too generic, but not the 'Type of Problem'. Agreed values for TEAM and ALARM tickets following the T1SCM of 2011/06/16 are:

  • Infrastructure (File transfer/ access, Batch, Monitoring)
  • Storage
  • Databases
  • Network problem
  • Middleware

As decided in the 2011/04/07 T1SCM these values should be:

  1. A subset of the general values for user tickets, in order not to break the interfaces with other ticketing systems and for searches to retrieve all relevant ticket categories.
  2. The same for both TEAM and ALARM ticket categories, because TEAM tickets can be upgraded to ALARM ones and
  3. Related to the Critical services' list (below).
