ATLAS/CMS Dark Matter Forum Topic: EFT truncation procedure

Responsibles: A, B, C, D

Task: have a proposal for a truncation procedure that reflects the validity of the EFT for the operators considered

Timescale: needs completed by the end of January 2015

The Forum members working on this subject have the responsibility to propose a truncation procedure that reflects the validity of the EFT for the operators considered, to be used in Run-2 searches for Dark Matter when using EFT benchmarks. Such a procedure has already been implemented by the ATLAS monophoton analysis (http://arxiv.org/abs/1411.1559). Discussion with the rest of the Forum members and other experts will help reach convergence and agreement between the two collaborations.
