Task: choose generic s- and t-channel simplified models with vector and scalar mediators and produce matrix element implementation. The initial focus should be monojet- and dijet+MET-like signatures, but the models should be coherent with the EW and HF-specific models.
Timescale: needs completed by the end of January 2015
The Forum members working on this subject have the responsibility to choose a set of
s- and t-channel simplified models (matrix element) that should be agreed upon by both collaborations for Run-2 searches. They will discuss and work with those responsible for the full list and for other channels to have a coherent list across final states (see
OverallListAndDocumentation page) and include other experts in the discussion if necessary.
Work log and plan
January 2015: As a follow-up to the discussion on the mailing list and from existing literature, Steve Mrenna and the ATLAS/CMS Dark Matter Forum organizers have produced a first draft list of models to be modified by the Forum members.

Suggested timeline and milestones
First ATLAS/CMS Dark Matter Forum meeting: 2nd week of January 2015
- Reach agreement or implement changes with respect to the initial list.
- Present a plan for convergence of the list
- Start communicating with Forum members working on the subject of the implementation
Second ATLAS/CMS Dark Matter Forum meeting: last week of January 2015
- Have a final list of selected s-channel models to serve as Run-2 benchmarks
- Actively participate in decision of grid points and various implementations to be used
Third ATLAS/CMS Dark Matter Forum meeting: second week of February 2015
- Prepare documentation suitable both as a reference for the internal ATLAS and CMS audiences and as an explanation for theory and non-‐collider readers.
- Share written documentation with Forum participants and reviewers
