Scalar Simplified models

. Download the models:
  • svn+ssh://

and install them into the model subdirectory of Madgraph (Tested with Madgraph 2.1.1 and 2.2.2)

  • Load the model with
    import model <modelname> --modelname
  • NOTE: with the most recent version of MG5 you should comment out lines 28-50 of

Instructions from Matthew Buckley can be found here and a more extensive documentation is in preparation

Parameters definition

  • The couplings to photons and gluons should be set to zero
  • The width has to be manually set in the param_card, otherwise a default value of 4.99 GeV is used. You can find the minimal width for each DM and Mediator masses in the attached width.xlsx

For MG5 an example run script to change these parameters is

import model DMScalarMed_loop --modelname
define p = g u c d s u~ c~ d~ s~ b~ b
generate p p > t t~ chi chi~
set Mphi 50
set Mchi 1
set Wphi 1.987
set  maxjetflavor 5
#set pdlabel lhapdf
#set lhaid 21000
set ebeam1 6500
set ebeam2 6500
