TELL1 Aggregation Switch Configuration

  • Currently, the TELL1 boards are connected to sw-daq-01 (the E1200 Force 10) through two aggregation switches, sw-agg-01 and sw-agg-02.
  • Note: The aggregation switches are used as switches, and not routers.

  • Configuration for both switches is identical. The VLAN-port assignment is given below

17 B16,B17,B18,B19,B20,B24
18 C1,C2,C3,C4,C5,C21
19 C6,C7,C8,C9,C10,C22
20 C11,C12,C13,C14,C15,C23
21 C16,C17,C18,C19,C20,C24
22 D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D21
23 D6,D7,D8,D9,D10,D22

25 D16,D17,D18,D19,D20,D24

The basic idea is to connect ports 21, 22, 23 and 24 on each switch module to sw-daq-01, and pair them up with 5 ports with links from the TELL1s.

NOTE: VLAN 10 is the exception (in both switches), since A1 is used as the controls link to the switch.
