Planning for Brunel releases
This page documents the plans for Brunel releases, which are reviewed every two weeks at the T-Rec meeting.
Forthcoming releases
The goal for forthcoming releasesis to provide stable and consistent data sets for the physics analysis. In the long term it is hoped to have 2-3 major releases per year corresponding to each major reprocessing, and to always use the current “frozen” release in the prompt reconstruction.

Next development release |
- Brunel v35r8 must contain all changes needed for the first data taking and will be validated for settings compatible with the first running conditions (e.g. 450 GeV beam, Velo Open, Magnet off). The v35 release branch will then be frozen and used in the express and full reconstruction streams throughout the first data taking period. Only essential bug fixes, essential retunings, and changes to monitoring will be accepted as patch releases.
- A Brunel v36 development branch will be started containing new developments and for commissioning of the next production release. There will be regular development releases as has been the case for the v35 series, but they will not be used for real data production until the new version has been validated for use in a complete reprocessing.
