Requirements:

Debug/Manually operation tools:

Deactivate scheduler / Administration operations

• In order to execute administration operations on CVMFS lhcbdev.cern.ch, you can use lbcvmfsinteractive.sh -m  [Reason for the intervation] which guarantees that the scheduler has finished any unpublish transactions. In this shell, the administrator can start, publish or abort new transactions. When the shell is exited, the schedulers retakes possession of the transactions lock. If no reason is given, you will be prompted to enter a reason.

CVMFS transaction

• Start: cvmfs_server transaction lhcbdev.cern.ch
• Publish: cvmfs_server publish lhcbdev.cern.ch
• Abort: cvmfs_server abort -f lhcbdev.cern.ch

Log files:

• scheduler log: tail -100f $HOME/logs/manager.log

Last executed commands from remote scheduler

• command: lastCommands

• Provides a detailed list of the commands that were executed in the last 24 hours that have triggered by RabbitMQ message. The period of time can be changed from the 24 hours default. The information includes the time when the command has started, the time when the command has finished, the duration of the execution in seconds and the name of the executable. This also includes the Idle period where there were not any messages on the RabbitMQ queue.

Monitor Installed slots

• command: monitor
• Provides a view of the already installed slots on CVMFS-Stratum-0. This tool is a part of a monitoring system that used pre-defined time limits in order to alert the system administrator if nightlies slots installation is overdue or if the there is a sync problem between Stratum-0 and Stratum-1. The information given by this tool include: the name of the slot, the status of the slot (installed/ not installed), the time of the installation and the pre-defined time limit for installation.
