Here's an example of how to check MuonPIDChecker or MuIDMonitor plots with presenter: (see also instructions from Giacomo)

login to lxplus

SetupProject online

cd /afs/cern.ch/lhcb/group/dataquality/ROOT/Collision10

presenter.exe -C /afs/cern.ch/lhcb/group/dataquality/ROOT/PresenterConfig/FULL_ReadOnly.cfg

under history using pick set file

select a dataset, for example Collision10

select a configuration, for example Beam3500GeV-VeloClosed-MagDown

select a run number, for example 77622

select a processing pass, for example Real_Data_Reco05-Stripping09-Prescaled

select 90000000 (FULL) or 91000000 (EXPRESS)

select a root file, for example BrunelDaVinci_FULL_72622_00007567.root

at the Database Page Browser expand DataQuality

click on MUON page 5: Muon pid checker

gives a page with 9 histograms.

Clicking on the blue 'oscilloscope' button overlays with a reference.

run77622.pdf: MuonPidChecker run 70690

In addition, eightteen 'expert' pages are available in the 'MuonID' folder

To modify the presentation of the histograms:

  • using presenter: only from the offline control room. Start presenter using presenter_2.cfg. log in as HIST_WRITER.
  • using the web interface of the histogram database.
On lxplus runs a replica of the histogram database, that is updated approximately every 6 hours, so that's about the time it takes before histogram changes will be visible on lxplus.
