Me
- Status on adoption of FroNTier
- Committed the code in LHCb to have more cachable queries on the CondDB.
- Joel will add the frontier client library to LHCbGrid to distribute it to the Grid ASAP.
- Stefan is working to get an infrastructure we can use for testing at the Tier-1s.
- The only missing bit on our side is a configuration file (in AppConfig) to switch on the usage of FroNTier depending on the environment of the site (proxy server). Still to be defined.
- We need to think about proper benchmarking of the framework and of our applications, if we want to test ICC or optimization flags in gcc.
- For the framework we can have, e.g., tests on repeated access to the transient store, execution of algorithms, etc.
- The applications need reference work-loads.
- More suggestions are welcome.
Joel
- CERNTS 03 now has got VC9 installed.
- The back up policy for the terminal servers is to back up only the "Profiles" disk (not "Build" or "Local").
-
lxbuild156
is now SLC5, to be tested because it uses a new Quattor template that will have to be used also for the other build servers.
- Joel, Stefan, Krzysztof and Federico are working on the DIRAC certification, possibly using the nightly builds. Marco Cl. suggested to investigate alternatives to QMTest, because it is not clear how long QMTest will be supported (it has not been updated in the last couple of years).
- Moving LHCbDirac to a new Subversion repository, connected to its instance of the TagCollector.
Gloria: Are there plans to have DBASE and PARAM properly handled in the Tag Collector?
Marco Ca.: Not yet because it requires new development and we do not have the manpower yet (we are looking for somebody).
Hubert
- Completed the LCGCMT Windows tarball with
fastjet
.
- Deployed LbScripts v6r1 and v6r1p1 (soon v6r1p2)
- Support for vXr99 symbolic links for data packages.
- Fixed the installation of CMT to make it relocatable.
- Marco Cl. added a Subversion pre-commit checker to avoid duplicated package names. It will be put in production soon.
Marco Ca.
- Issues with the Tag Collector
- Duplicate packages in the
obsolete
"project". The Tag Collector should ignore them.
- Cannot log-out after a change of IP address (on laptops).
Marco Cl.: please report any problem on
savannah
, so we do not forget.
