News
- LCGCMT 61
getting ready (new ROOT, new HepMC, new pytools, new tcmalloc, ...)
- problems in LCG nightlies are preventing a full test in our nightlies (mainly WinXP)
- once the build on AFS is ready, we will switch the
lhcb-gaudi-head
slot to it and wait one night before the release of Gaudi
- Benedikt is preparing the gcc 4.5 platform before switching gccmax to 4.6, but it is not clear if we can have a build of LCGCMT 61 on gcc 4.5
Round Table
Marco Cl.
- Release of Gaudi basically ready: preparing the tags, but waiting to check on the final LCGCMT 61
Martin
- The project is essentially completed
- it works as requested
- documentation available as a TWiki page
- minor clean up pending
Joel
- Preparing a new LHCbGrid to fix the problem with the wrong versions of the externals in the previous releases.
- Monthly patch applied to the terminal servers. Will update the AFS client on TS04 to be consistent with the others.
Hubert
- A new LbScripts (v6r4) has been released while he was away.
- Preparing LbScripts v6r4p1 to pick up some small fixes by Rob.
Illya
- We gave (after testing) the green light for the migration to Oracle 11g for the CondDB.
Gloria
- Gauss for MC11 requires the new Gaudi (because of the new version of HepMC)
- What is the timescale for the removal/change of the ParticlePropertySvc in Gaudi?
Marco Cl.: it's not top priority at the moment
- Problem with getpack of a branch in the nightlies (while it works on the command line).
We need to check the version of getpack that is used in the nightlies.
Rob
- We are not testing the latest AppConfig in the nightlies (picked up from
$LHCBDEV
).
At the moment it has to be updated by hand, but we can set up a cron job to do it.
Markus
- The memory problem was raised again
. The situation is much better, but we still cannot run the stripping on 10 files.
Thomas
- The problem of our Windows
lhcb-lcg-head
nightly build (miscofiguration) was probably due to the move of the slot to TS05.
- Unreproducible problem on i686 builds of lhcb-head still not understood. Marco Cl. will have a look too when it happens again.
