- Meeting on Concurrency Forum
today
- From LIM
- ICC 13, GCC 4.7.2, ROOT 5.34/02
- the platform
g11max
will be dropped and gccmax
will have C++11 enabled
- Joel: we need to replace 3 build machines
- they have to be replaced with SLC5
- Ben: we need to validate the SLC5 builds on SLC6 machines
- Marco/Joel: Problem with Oracle security
- we need the new client in LCGCMT, for the few use cases that need direct access (PVSS, CondDB replication, BookKeeping). Marco Cl. will check with Andrea Valassi
- Marco Ca.: tier-1s are asking for the use of Oracle. No need for LHCb.
- Introducing Liang Sun: new manager for CondDB

Round Table
Marco Cl.
- CMake configuration
- can build LHCb, Rec, LbCom
- using 99% auto conversion
- some minor changes are needed in the requirements (more explicit "use"s, non-standard constructs); can I apply them? Yes
- issues with data packages, depending on the environment script
- working on enhancement of the script to produce the environment
- the Eclipse configuration of CMake projects is quite practical
- TWiki page to port the code to C++11: Cpp11HowTo
- Pending tasks:
- Coverity upgrade
- Import of latest RootCnv
Marco Ca.
- It seems that on SLC6 Brunel is using 30% more memory wrt SLC5 (gcc46 in both cases)
Gloria
- Where shall we put the script to merge the XML summaries of productions?
Should be in LbScripts.
Ben
- Issue last week with CVMFS inconsitencies.
- GENSER people are preparing the builds of the generators for gcc46. Shell we move to a newer version of some generators?
- Tried the latest ICC (13), which showed to be slower than the gcc 4.6
- New LbScripts about to be released: implying change of default CMTCONFIG everywhere
- For next week: discuss the list of platforms valid for grid (triggered by a mismatch between the grid and CVMFS installations of some projects).
Thomas
- Not understood what the problem with the nightlies was, but after restart they are working fine.
