Event display demo

Enter in the pc as user 'pic' (ask elisa the passwd). To start the event display execute these instructions:

  • go to 'event_display' directory
  • execute the 'start_display' script and execute the instructions therein
  • once the window is displayed, with the mouse right button select draw style / transparency type / blend. And with the mouse enhance the window (it looks nicer)
  • click on the python icon to return the control to the python. The display will start to loop on the file of events. They are b-inclusive events. No special selection done.
  • if you want to interrupt the loop and play a bit with the display: go to the python prompt and type ctr C. Then type 'toui()' and the control will return to the UI. Here with the mouse you can drag the detector and move it. To zoom use the mouse wheel. To move it without rotating, click on the wheel and drag it.
  • to start again the loop on events click on python prompt and from python prompt type 'visualizer.run()'
  • to stop the loop and exit the event display: go to python prompt, type ctr C and ctr D.
