Enabling password-less access on the Force10 routers

  • If not already done, create an RSA2 key for yourself
  • Login into the switch as admin
  • copy scp://<login>@<login>/.ssh/id_rsa.pub flash://<login>.pub
I had to type the parameters interactively - maybe a syntax error?
  • ip ssh rsa-authentication my-authorized-keys flash://<login>.pub
  • The Force 10 routers can only contain maximum 5 keys, to clear the old keys:
    no ip ssh rsa-authentication my-authorized-keys
  • That's it. You can now login as admin without a password
    ssh -2 admin@sw-daq-02
