The cables are installed in dedicated cable trays running parallel to the beam line. The cables for the B stations enter the LHCb cavern alongside the QRL. The cables for the F stations enter the cavern below the sector door separating UX85 and RB86. For each station, the following cables are installed.

In addition, there are four plastic tubes (Festo PUN-8x1,25-BL) per station supplying the compressed air for the motion system. The cables and tubes from the B stations end up at the front-end crate location in the UP84 tunnel. The cables and tubes from the F stations end up next to the UX85/RB86 sector door.

  • On the VELO side, the patch panels for data and TFC fibres are located in rack P1A01 on the balcony.
