# Correlations of Hlt lines - WORK IN PROGRESS

This pages shows some statistics from 2012 data. For more details refer to LHCb-INT-2013-009.

## Numbers obtained from S20 No Bias data

The following stats are obtained from all events selected by the NoBias stripping line. That's 5 million events of which 300k pass L0, 20k Hlt1 and 3k Hlt2. That's not enough to make Hlt2 correlations but has the advantage of allowing L0 and Hlt1 stats for the whole of 2012.

### L0 statistics

The table gives for every L0 line the fraction of L0 and of Hlt2 accepted events it contributes. The ratio of the two numbers is also given: Numbers above 1 indicate that events from this line perform above average in Hlt2. Another way of presenting the same concept is the purity of Hlt2-accepted events among all events accepted by the line.

The sum of all L0 fractions clearly exceeds 100% due to a large overlap. This overlap is much less after Hl2, which explains that the fraction of Hlt2 events goes down for all L0 lines except DiMuon. This line is also the only one that has a "purity" (taking Hlt2 as signal) above 1%.

### Hlt1 statistics

The table gives for every Hlt1 line the fraction of Hlt1 and of Hlt2 accepted events it contributes. One can see that the sum of the fractions increase, meaning the overlap increases after Hlt2. That explains why the ratio is above 1 for most of the lines. The purity of Hlt1SingleElectronNoIP is not very good. The DiMuonLowMass line is also not performing as well as the other dimuon lines.

## Numbers obtained from Run 125113

Run 125113 is the stripping test run for 2012 data. It was taken on 8 August 2012 with TCK 0x00990042. The numbers in the tables below are obtained from all Hlt2-accepted events in this run.
