This topic will guide you to load the PUs with the firmware dedicated to the diagnostic of optical link coming from the ODE boards.

You can either log directly on a CCPC of the processing board on which you want to spy optical link or use PVSS tools. This two methods are described below:


  • Using PVSS tool:
    • Launch the L0MUON_TRIG toolbox
    • Then choose Test communication and do remote commands on PB/CB to open the corresponding panel
    • Then choose the processing board on which you want to program the PUs
    • Click on the command list and choose " PUs_Load_OL_Test_Ram "
    • Then click on the " Send PB parallel CMD "button and wait until the programing is finished...

Once the PUs are programmed, the Signal Tap file associated to the firmware loaded can be found in the same directory were the jbc file was found that is to say:
PROC_V3/PROG_FILES/PU_OL_TEST/OL_scope_2.stp
