This document explain how to time aligned the L0DU with respect to the L0 Muon processors

  • Start the PVSS project of L0DU
  • Activate L0DU in ODIN
    In ECS tab, in External Triggers section, tick L0DU Enable and Apply display.

The time alignment is performed in 3 steps:

  1. L0DU BCid with respect to ODIN BCid
    • L0DU Basic setup tab.
    • Latencies sub-tab
    • Play with the offset on the subpanel L0DU Local BCID (top right part of the panel).
    • Check on the ODIN panel that the Bunch IDs of ODIN (first one) and those of L0DU are equal (second one).

  2. L0 Muon candidates with respect to others candidates
    • L0DU Basic setup tab.
    • Latencies sub-tab
    • In Link B sub-panel aligned muon candidates with respect to each others using latencies slider and Apply.
    • In BCID Monitoring, select the reference for the Muon Candidates, i.e MuC2 and Apply.
    • In Link A sub-panel aligned the muon reference with respect to the others candidates

  3. L0DU Latency
    • Set ODIN in external trigger
    • L0DU Basic setup tab
    • Latencies sub-tab.
    • In L0DU/ODIN sub-panel, click on single pulse and Apply.
