pPb@8 TeV photon analysis (approved May 11 2018)

Plot Description
R_{gamma} double ratio defined as ((inclusive gamma yield)/(gamma from pi0) )_{data}/((decay gamma yield)/(gamma from pi0) )_{simulation} in pp at 13 TeV, the reweighting accounts for difference in the pi0 kinematics in data and in simulation (pt of the pi0) and track multiplicity, the systematic uncertainty displayed by the gray band is dominated by the current absolute photon efficiency in the calo
R_{gamma} double ratio defined as ((inclusive gamma yield)/(gamma from pi0) )_{data}/((decay gamma yield)/(gamma from pi0) )_{simulation} in pp at 5 TeV, whereas the simulation is at 13 TeV, the reweighting accounts for difference in the pi0 kinematics in data and in simulation (pt of the pi0, dominating effect due to different collision energy) and track multiplicity, the systematic uncertainty displayed by the gray band is dominated by the current absolute photon efficiency in the calo,
eta over pi0 production ratio as measured in data and its comparison to different simulations as a function of pt. This auxiliary measurement is needed to control the definition of the R_gamma ratio, where the decay photons in simulation enter, whereas only the pi0 is directly measured. Due to the smaller BR ratio of eta to gamma gamma w.r.t. Pi0, the achieved description in simulation is not limiting.

All plots were made using around one quarter of the magnet down data taken in 2016 at $\sqrt{s} = 13\,\mathrm{TeV}$.

The first table shows the output of the some exclusive HLT2 charm lines that go to the Turbo stream.

The second table shows $D^{*+}$ candidates that are built by taking the same $D^{0}$ candidates shown in the first table and combining them with pion candidates. The pion candidates are made available through the PersistReco mechanism of the Turbo stream.

Plot Description
D0 to K-pi+ mass distribution Distribution of $D^{0}$ candidates that have been combined with pions from PersistReco. The same $D^{0}$ candidate can appear multiple times in this plot as it can be combined with multiple pions.
D*+ to D0pi+ mass distribution Distribution of $m(D^{0}\pi^{+})$, with $D^{0} \to K^{-}\pi^{+}$, with a $D^{0}$ as indicated in the previous plot.
m(D*+) - m(D0) - m(pi+) mass distribution Distribution of $m(D^{*+}) - m(D^{0}) - m(\pi^{+})$, with $D^{0} \to K^{-}\pi^{+}$, with a $D^{0}$ as indicated in the previous plot.
