ST Hit Monitoring Software

How it works

Hit monitoring is supplementary task, which can be useful in detection of problems with modules in ST, in particular - misalignment issues. Monitoring plots are obtained in a few simple steps:
  1. Choose tracks for monitoring and apply selection.
    • Selection should provide highest possible efficiency with lowest possible ghost rate
  2. With the set of tracks calculate efficiency, resolution and signal-to-noise ratio in every module
  3. Using .root file with information about hits in every module, plot distributions which you are interested in.
