LFV searches (30 min) Review of LFV tau decays after MEG. What are the correlations between charged and photon modes? What are the correlations between LFV tau decays and searches for non-LFV B and D decays.  

List of questions:

  • SM calculation of BR(Bs-->mumu): Summarize hte SM calculation with the different approaches. Is there a preferred calculation and where is it published?
    A. Buras et al, arXiv:1007.5291: BR=(3.2+-0.2) x 10-9 and ex2: M. Bona et al. (UTFit Coll): BR= (3.7+-0.5)x10-9 Phys.Lett.B687 (2010) 61. at least in 1), the SM value is not calculated

  • What does the excess in B->tau nu tell us about BR Bsmumu and other rare decays?

  • In which model/scenario we might have a LFV decay of tau->mu gamma or tau--> 3 mu with a BR in the 10-9-10-10 range now that MEG put an upper limit on mu->e gamma at 2.4x10-12 ?
