LHCb production

The purpose of this page is to give you an overview of the various production which have been requested by the Physics group.

List of DC06 production requested by the physics group. List of DC04 production requested by the physics group.

The production is run by a team of people and each week a production manager is responsible of it listed on the Shift database

If you want to follow closely the progress fo the various production, you can look at the monitoring and the bookkeeping page listed below :

Production Manager : User's guide

Reconstruction : The submission for the reconstruction is done via a cron. This cron is run under Joel's credential. It is called prod-cron.sh and it is located in /afs/cern.ch/lhcb/project/production/tools. This tools is reading a file called prod_info which is located in each production like /afs/cern.ch/lhcb/project/production/repository/DC06-B2-reco/00001856 . This file contains two lines : one to say if the submission for this production is active or not (active = yes) and the second line correspond to the number of files that could be submitted at once (submission_number = 10)
