Running a test job through DIRAC

If there is a problem at a site, you may want to run a test job which will run the same applications as are used in production to help with debugging. There is a DIRAC script to help:

DaVinci Job

This requires an LFN to run over.

$ dirac-lhcb-run-test-job -p DaVinci -v v20r3 -e 4 -t 500 -l verbose -m local -n agentTest -i LFN:/lhcb/production/DC06/phys-v2-lumi5/00001680/DST/0000/00001680_00000490_5.dst -f /afs/ -d instPTest -o LogLevel=verbose

Gauss Job

This just generates some events.

$ dirac-lhcb-run-test-job -p Gauss -v v35r1 -e 1 -l verbose -m local -o LogLevel=verbose

Local configuration

Allows to override the configuration for a shared DIRAC installation. Modify this file:

$ cat ~/.dirac.cfg
SharedArea = /afs/
LocalArea = /tmp/<USERID>
Site =
LocalSE = CERN-disk
LocalSE += CERN-tape
