Introduction

These pages provide a software manual for the LHCb RICH sub detector.

Software Packages

Like all Gaudi and LHCb specific packages, the RICH code is partitioned into separate CMT packages. A brief description of the various RICH packages and relationships between them can be found here.

Kernel Packages

Kernel packages are those that contain low level, generally simple, utility classes and header files used by other higher level package. See here for details on the Kernel packages of relevence to the RICH software.

Rich Event Model

The RICH Event Model package contains the classes used to define the persistent data object for the RICH system.

RICH Detector Packages

The package RichDet provides the C++ representation of the RICH detector description.

RICH Ring Finding Packages

The package RichRecTemplateRings finds the Cherenkov Rings on the detector planes of the RICH detectors.
