FSM Monitoring

  • The following is the Main Panel

Global Monitoring

  • Double click the Summary button on the Main Panel to open the following panel

  • Meaning of different colours
    • GREEN: temperature OK
    • YELLOW: temperature NOT OK but not critical
    • RED: temperature SHOULD NOT reach this limit!

  • Double click a device button on the Summary Panel to open the corresponding trending plot

Partial Monitoring

  • Double click the Temperature button on the Main Panel to open the following panel

  • Double click one of the available buttons to open a pannel similar to the following one

Devices specs:

  • Thermocouple Data Logger: USB TC-08, manual

Initialization of new channels

  • Start up PicoLog Recorder
  • Select New Settings from the File menu

  • The Recording dialog box appears, then click OK button
  • The Sampling Rate dialog box appears, conveniently set the Stop after # samples value (suggestion: 100 hours), then click OK button

  • The Converter details dialog box appears, in principle the device has been already installed and selected, so click OK button

  • The TC08 Channels dialog box appears, double-click on the desired Channel, then the Edit TC08 Channel dialog box appears, you can type a name and customize your measurement (alarms,...) using the Options button

  • Click OK and OK again

Record temperatures

  • If all the desired channels are correctly initialized, click on the New file button and type the name of the file to which you wish to record, then click OK

  • Press the red Play button, then the two "View Graph" and "View spreadsheet" buttons

  • After a while you should see something like the following picture

  • You can set different options (time format,...) using the View options button in the "PLW Spreadsheet"
  • In order to save data, in the "PLW Spreadsheet" press Select button, then Write to disk button

FAQ

How to monitor parameters?

Select Calculated parameters from the Settings menu and have fun with all the dialog boxes.

How to disable a channel?

Select Input channels from the Settings menu and navigate through the previous dialog boxes in order to disable a channel.

How to recall a previous measurement?

Select Open from the File menu in order to recall a previous measurement.
