Procedure for mounting/dismounting EC and PDMDB on the T-bar (comments are welcome).

Mandatory general rules for production assemblies.

The mechanical installation protocol shall be as follows.

A correct mechanical mounting must be done in many steps.

  • All the EC shall be installed first on the T-bar and let just a little loose.

  • The 2 PDMDB shall then be inserted, helping insertion with the minimal movement the EC is allowed.

  • The 2 PDMDB shall be screwed loose.

  • The EC screws shall be tightened, while keeping an eye on avoiding possible stresses on the PDMDB.

  • The PDMDB shall be pushed towards the EC, making sure all connectors mate the same amount, down to the end.

  • The PDMDB screws shall be tightened just enough to avoid the PDMDB to bounce back.

NOTE: there is never need to tighten screws too much: screws just keep pieces in place; screws must not deform any PCB; if you hear any crack noise, you have already tightened too much.
